Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I played along with any sketch challenges and couldn't resist once I saw this fabulous sketch by Pals Paper Arts.

I added the shadow layer and instead of the strip added a beautiful matching bow. The image used on today's card is the Poppies digital stamp by Sweet 'n Sassy.

My card base is Kraft layered with White Cardstock then Postcard patterned paper. The shadow layer is Brooch patterned paper layered on Kraft. I added a straight stitch around the edges of both patterned papers. The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. I paper pierced around the edges then layered it on Kraft finished on one side using the Scallop Edge Punch. To embellish the card I added a yellow grosgrain ribbon and tons of pearls.

Hi everyone! This is the latest clean and simple card I've been working on for Operation Write Home. I actually finished 20 of this card which filled a flat rate box of 68 cards that I shipped off to Operation Write Home. The image used on today's card is from the Asian Artistry rubber stamp set by Stampin' Up.

My card base is Blue Bayou layered with Sahara Sand finished on the bottom corners using the Corner Rounder Punch. Next I added a strip of patterned paper and two strips of black organdy ribbon along both edges. The sentiment and image were both stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and the image colored in using copic markers. To embellish the card I added a matched bow made from the black organdy ribbon.

Ski Sheep

Hi everyone! Snow is one thing we sure haven't had much of so far this winter (knock on wood), LOL!!! I've only been skiing twice in my lifetime, once cross country and the other down hill skiing. The sheep skiing in this image reminded me of down hill skiing so I added torn strips of patterned paper to make it look like the sheep was down hill skiing. The fun image and sentiment used on today's card are both from the Ski Sheep digital stamp set by Doodle Pantry.

My card base is Baja Breeze layered with Brown Cardstock then Scarf Stripe Patterned Paper and torn strips of Winter Frost Patterned Paper. I added a straight stitch around the edge then wrapped DMC Ivory around the card base. The image and sentiment were printed on White Cardstock and the image colored in using copic markers.

I distressed the edges of both the sentiment and image and colored BG70 at the bottom of the image to look like snow. To embellish the card I punched out a white snowflake and finished it with a blue button threaded with DMC Ivory. I also added a snow pearl in each corner of the card base.

Violet With Key

Hi everyone! I just love this valentine's patterned paper collection by Bo-Bunny Press and don't know what I'm going to do when I run out (sigh)! The cute little girl in the image is the Swiss Pixie Violet With Key rubber stamp by C.C. Designs.

My card base is True Black layered with White Cardstock then Heart Attack patterned paper stitched around the edges. The show layer is True Black layered with Sweet Nothings patterned paper stitched around the edges. As I was assembling the card I realized Violet was sitting and adding a strip of Tickled Pink patterned paper layered on True Black to make it look as though she is actually sitting on somthing.

The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. I paper pierced around the edges and layered it on True Black. The wings were highlighted using Diamond Stickles. To embellish the card I wrapped Black Grosgrain Ribbon around the Tickled Pink strip and paired it with a matching bow in front. I also added some clear dew drops in each corner of the shadow strip.

Hi everyone! Although I'm without a doubt a CAT lover my husband is totally a DOG lover so I made this card just for him. Although it's not all cutsie or red, pink and white I'm still thinking to give it to him for Valentine's Day!!! The image is from the Quirky Dog digital stamp set by Doodle Pantry.

My card base is True Black layered with white cardstock then orange patterned paper and green finished using the grass edge punch on one side. The image and sentiment are printed on white cardstock and the image colored in using copic markers. I sponged Memento Tuxedo Black around the card base and image. To embellish the card I added a kraft twill bow and some black pearls.

Hi everyone! I've had this pack of Sahara Sand cardstock forever that I never seem to use and was determined to make somthing with it so I pulled out this adorable sheep I could color to match the Sahara Sand cardstock. I also found some satin ribbon that matches the cardstock so I extended the mat layer down enough to fit a bow. The image used on today's card is the Love Ewe digital stamp by Designed2Delight. I'm entering this card in the OWH Stars and Stamps February ODBD Challenge to use yummy ribbon.

My card base is Rose Red layered with Sahara Sand then White Cardstock embossed using the Heart Blocks Embossing Folder. I added a straight stitch around the edges. The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. I paper pierced around the edge and layered it on Rose Red. To embellish the card I added a satin bow and a champaine dew drop in each corner.

My card base is Cranberry Crisp layered with White Cardstock then patterned paper stitched around the edges. Hi everyone! I've been in the mood for making birthday cards lately. This card was created using the image and sentiment from the newly released Cupcake Ants digital stamp set by Doodle Pantry.

My card base is True Black layered with White Cardstock then Tempting Turquiose stitched around the edges. On the right hand side I added a strip of Pixie Pink finished using the Scallop Edge Punch. Loving Critters

Hi everyone! I'm still here!!! It's been a really busy week so I haven't had a chance to post in a couple days. Today I want to share some clean & simple cards I've been working on for Operation Write Home. I used the digitally colored piggy image and patterned paper from the Loving Critters digital stamp set by Clear Dollar Stamps.

My husband thought I should include a sentiment so I created this second card with the "sending my love" message. This last card was inspired by a technique I've been wanting to try for some time now, using scored lines to create texture in the background.

I used Ruby Red for all my card bases and paired it with Cool Caribbean cardstock or digital patterned paper from the Loving Critters stamp set. The cute piggy image was printed on White Cardstock and layered on Ruby Red.

Hi everyone! One of my goals for 2012 is to send more cards to Operation Write Home in support of our troops overseas. Operation Write Home sends handmade greeting cards to our nation's heroes for them to write home on as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them. There are some card quidelines to follow though such as no glitter (it's a saftey hazard), they prefer A2 size cards and SOME lumpiness is okay.

I'm okay with no glitter since I only end up making a mess with it anyways and enjoy making A2 size cards but really seem to struggle with only SOME lumpiness on my cards so I've decided to spend more time this year making clean & simple cards for Operation Write Home. To keep myself on track I've dubbed today Clean & Simple Sunday and hope you will share with me some of your favorite sites that inspire you to make clean & simple cards.

Today's clean & simple card was created using a digitally colored image from the Quirky Cat digital stamp set by Doodle Pantry. I paired it with digital paper from the Peacock Birdie stamp set by Doodle Pantry. I went a little crazy with layers on this card so I left off the embellishments so it wouldn't end up too lumpy.

My card base is Brilliant Blue layered with White Cardstock then Going Grey. The shadow strip is digital patterned paper layered on White Cardstock. The image was printed on White Cardstock and layered on Brilliant Blue then adhered using mounting tape.

Hi everyone! Do you believe in signs?!? We've only had an inch of snow here so far this winter season and then on the day I'm sharing this cute snowman card it snows again. The image used on today's card is the Snowman coloring page by Elizabeth Dulemba.

My card base is Bravo Burgundy layered with White Cardstock then Let It Snow patterned paper stitched around the edges. The shadow layer is Bravo Burgundy die cut and embossed using the Labels 23 Nestabilities. Hi everyone! I'm back with another new release floral image. To see the other simply scroll down to my previous post. The gorgeous flower used on this card is the Dahlia digital stamp by Clear Dollar Stamp.

My card base is True Black layered with White Cardstock then Perfect Plum with a zig zag stitch around the edges. The shadow layer is Pale Plum layered on White Cardstock with a straight stitch around the edges. I printed the image on White Cardstock and colored it in using copic markers.

I die cut and embossed the image using Standard Circles Small Nestabilities and layered it on True Black die cut using the Lacey Circles Nestabilities. To embellish the card I added a metallic silver bow and a metallic silver dew drop in each corner of the card base.

Hi everyone! Today I've a tweet love card to share. The cute image used on today's card is from the Love Birds digital stamp set by Doodle Pantry. I really like this stamp set because I'm able to add different words in the sign hanging on the outside of the heart. On this card I filled in the sign with the words "Tweet Love".

My card base is Brocade Blue layered with White Cardstock then Patterned Paper. The strip at the bottom is Wild Wasabi finished on one side using the Wave Edge Punch with a strip of white lace wrapped around it. The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers then layered on Brocade Blue. I added a straight stitch around the edges of the card base and image. To embellish the card I added some flowers finished with clear buttons.

Hi everyone! As I started blogging this card I realized I've never made a get well card before. The duck laying in bed on today's card is from the Happy Healing digital stamp set by Clear Dollar Stamps. I paired it with pretty rose colored patterned paper from the Colorbok Treasured Brights Paper Pad.

I'm excited to be back from our month long holiday break at the Doodle Pantry as is the rest of the design team and boy do we have some really amazing new release images to share with all of you. Hi everyone, Happy New Year!!! Did you make any new years resolutions? Mine is to make time to take care of myself. There are lots of things I want to do this year including eating healthier, exercising more, losing weight and spending more quality time with family and friends so I'm going to make time to do all of those things and more in 2012. How about a toast to the new year... here's to 2012!!!

My card base is True Black layered with White Cardstock then Ballet Blue embossed using the D'Vine Swirls Embossing Folder and Blush Blossom torn along one side. The image is a digital freebie called Toasting The New Year by Create With TLC. I printed the image on White Cardstock and highlighted some spots using copic markers. Next I distressed the edge of the card base and image using Memento Tuxedo Black. To embellish the card I added a huge button finished with a black grosgrain bow.

Hi everyone! Where has the time gone?!? I guess time flies when you are having fun. I know it's not New Years yet but I ended up making a couple cards to send the family this year so am sharing this one today! The bird celebrating on today's card is from the New Years Birdie digital stamp set by Doodle Pantry. I paired it with Make A Wish patterned paper from BasicGrey's Cupcake Collection. I also wanted to share that Doodle Pantry is having a 50% off sale now through January 2nd and is the perfect time to grab all your favorite images.

My card base is True Black layered with White Cardstock then Make A Wish patterned paper. The shadow layer is Kraft layered on True Black Cardstock. The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. To embellish the card I distressed the edges of the patterned paper, kraft and white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and a sponge. To finish off the card I added a yellow button with a black grosgrain bow and tons of black pearls.

Hi everyone! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! We spent lots of time with family as well as in the car getting there, LOL!!! Today I've my first Valentine's card to share with you. The adorable bear is from the Heart Hugs digital stamp set by Clear Dollar Stamps. I paired it with Small Heart patterned paper from Heidi's Hearts Collection by Heidi Grace Designs.

My card base is Riding Hood Red layered with White Cardstock then Small Heart patterned paper. The shadow layer Riding Hood Red layered with Kraft Cardstock embossed using the Script Embossing Folder. The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. I rounded the corners before layering on Riding Hood Red. To embellish the card I added a pretty bow made from Blue Grosgrain Ribbon.

Hi everyone! I recently asked my husband what types of cards he enjoys me creating the most and his response was anything with mice, cats or dogs so I dug out this rubber stamp and created this special christmas card just for him! The cute image is the Fluffles Garland rubber stamp by Stampendous.

My card base is Basic Grey layered with White Cardstock then Forest Street Patterned Paper. The shadow layer is Fairland Street Patterned Paper. Over the patterned paper I wrapped white lace. The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. To embellish the card I added some red paper flowers with white buttons threaded with DMC White. I added some pine branches punched from Old Olive.

Hi everyone! I love this image... actually I love all snowman images (hee hee)! Can you tell I was not quite over christmas but wanting to move into winter colors with this card?!? For some reason I was stuck on having a red bow on the present but now that I'm looking at the photo am not so sure it really goes with all the blues and browns. The image and sentiment are both from the Christmas Cuties digital stamp set by Clear Dollar Stamps.

My card base is Blue Bazzill layered with White Cardstock then Ice Crystals Patterned Paper. The shadow layer is Winter Blue Dots layered on Blue Bazzill. The image and sentiment were printed on White Cardstock and the image colored in using copic markers. I distressed the edges of both patterned paper as well as the sentiment and image using Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.

The snowflake layers from bottom to top are Blue Bazzill and White Cardstock punched using the Snowflake Punch, a Clear Snowflake and on top to finish it off is a pearl snowflake. To bring out the clear snowflake I added some Frosted Lace Stickles below the snowman.

Mooning Elf

Hi everyone! My husband REALLY wanted me to make a card to send his parents for Christmas using this image after I showed him the "An Elf-ing Christmas Card" my friend Lynn made. I heard him on the phone the other night telling his mom the card we are sending them will remind her of Uncle Ronnie's emails. I won't go there but let's just say she won't be surprised either (hee hee)! The image featured on today's card is the Mooning Elf digital stamp by Bonibleaux Designs. The fun verse on the inside of the card though is a CASE from my friend Lynn's card.

My card base is Bravo Burgundy layered with White Cardstock then Noel Patterned Paper. The shadow layer is the back side of the Noel Patterned Paper layered on Bravo Burgundy. The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. To embellish the card I added two pewter spiral clips and a small pewter brad in each corner of the shadow layer.

I thought while I was sharing I'd show you the labels I made using my watermark for the back of my cards. To create the labels I copied and pasted the black watermark into a word document label template that fits 30 labels per page. Isn't this just fabulous!!!

Hi everyone! This is one of my all time favorite holiday images. The gorgeous patterned papers and pre-colored image featured on today's card are all from the Merry Mistletoe digital stamp set by Doodle Pantry. I love this pretty shade of pink combined with white and cream, it gives the card such an elegant look.

My card base is Garden Green layered with White Cardstock then digital patterned paper stitched around the edges. Next I wrapped white lace around the card base. The image was printed on Vintage Cream then die cut and embossed using the Standard Circles Small Nestabilites. I layered it on White Cardstock die cut using the Standard Circles Large Nestabilities then Garden Green die cut using the Floral Doily Motifs Nestabilities. To embellish the card I added Champaine Dew Drops along the Floral Doily Motifs and finished it off with a bow made from White Grosgrain Ribbon.

Hi everyone! I'm still creating christmas cards. It's been so long since I've played with flowers I'm starting to go through withdrawal, LOL!!! When I first saw this image I thought to cut out the reindeer but after looking at that rack decided to wing it and this is what I came up with. Hi everyone! This is a stamp set I picked up over a year ago after getting my first copic markers with the thought of practicing my blending skills. So I stamped several images last night and got up early this morning to practice but as soon as I sat down to do so my fur baby showed up and well... so much for playing in my craft room. I was finally able to whip up this card to share with you.

My card base is Real Red layered with White Cardstock then Toasty Patterned Paper. The shadow strip is Laurel Leaves Patterned Paper layered on Real Red with Red Satin Ribbon wrapped around it and a matching bow in front. Hi everyone! Today's layout is really simple even though I couldn't resist using three different patterned papers. The adorable reindeer is the Rudolf Presents digital stamp by Bugaboo Stamps. I think he is so adorable and hope that he's bringing me all those presents... (hee hee)!!!

My card base is Bravo Burgundy layered with White Cardstock then Holiday Dots (top) and London Town Green (bottom) Patterned Paper stitched around the edges. The strip is London Town Red layered on Bravo Burgundy. The image was printed on White Cardstock, colored in using copic markers, paper pierced then layered on Bravo Burgundy. To embellish the card I added two silver rhinestones on each end of the strip.

Hi everyone! It's been awhile since I created a card using an image from Elizabeth Dulemba Coloring Page Tuesday's and this mouse sitting on the Christmas Candle reading "The Night Before Christmas" is so perfect for christmas cards that I couldn't resist.

My card base is Real Red layered with White Cardstock then Christmas Holly Patterned Paper. The shadow layer is Merry Merry Christmas Patterned Paper layered on Real Red. The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. To embellish the card I added strip of Red Satin Ribbon with a matching bow and Red Rhinestones in each corner of the shadow layer and image.

Hi everyone! How about a christmas card with no stamping... well, sort of! I've been thinking of creating a card for some time now using vintage clip art and couldn't resist doing so once I saw this beautiful christmas image at ChristmasFiles.com. I paired it with a lovely sentiment from the Merry Mistletoe digital stamp set by Doodle Pantry.

My card base is Real Red layered with White Cardstock then Balsam Patterned Paper. The shadow layer is the back side of the Balsam Patterned Paper layered on Real Red. The clip art was printed on White Cardstock and also layered on Real Red. I printed the sentiment on White Cardstock then die cut and embossed it using the Grommet Tags Nestabilities and threaded a strip of Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon through the holes. To embellish the card I added tons of stitching, a matching bow made from Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon and some pearls near the sentiment.

Candy Cane Ants

Hi everyone! I'm back again with another cute christmas card. I just love these ants, they look like they are having the sweetest time!!! The image used on today's card is from the Candy Cane Ants digital stamp set by Doodle Pantry. Speaking of the Doodle Pantry, did I mention that the design team is on vacation this month and Doode Pantry is having a SALE... that's right... 30% off all digital products. Woot woot!!! Today's card base is Cranberry Crisp layered with White Cardstock then Mantle Patterned Paper stitched around the edge. The shadow layer is Mellow Moss. The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. I stitched around the edges then wrapped white lace around the card base. To embellish the card I added two paper flowers arranged with an oak leaf and pine branches punched from Mellow Moss cardstock and finished off with a large clear jem. I also added a small clear jem in the corners of the image.

Tilda With Christmas Cracker

Hi everyone! Today I've a pretty magnolia christmas card to share. I only have a couple magnolia stamps and know I don't often ink them up but when I do they are totally addicting!!! I paired Tilda with white and burgundy patterned paper from Sandylion. I'm entering this card in the Magnolia Stamp Lovers "red and white" and Dutch Magnolia Lovers "back in time" challenges.

My card base is Bravo Burgundy layered with In A Nutshell Patterned Paper. The shadow layer is Swirling Snowflakes Patterned Paper layered on Bravo Burgundy finished on both sides using the Eyelet Border Punch. I also wrapped gold trim around the shadow layer and taped the ends down on the back side.

The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers and spica pens. I distressed the edges of the patterned papers and image using Vintage Photo Distress Ink. To embellish the card I added two burgundy paper flowers finished with a snow pearl, a white knit flower finished with a pearl snowflake and snow pearls in each corner of the image.

This image reminds me of christmas's past when our fur babies were just kittens and would climb the tree, chew the corners off all the presents, bat the ornaments until they fell off the tree and would then chase them around the house until they were stuck in some corner and as the image shows... crawl in the stockings, paper bags, boxes and anything else that was left out, LOL!!! Dryer Sheet Technique

Hi everyone! This card was REALLY outside my comfort zone but I love how it turned out and had lots of fun creating it! I created the card using lots of white to play along with the Fashionable Stamping Challenge #9 following the theme "I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas" and combined it with the "Dryer Sheet Technique" Timeless Tuesday Challenge #145 at Flourishes.

My card base is True Black layered with White Cardstock. The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on White Cardstock then covered with a used dryer sheet. To create snow at the bottom of the image I tore two strips of White Cardstock and rubbed 2-Way Glue along the edge then added some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. To finish off the card I added some White Grosgrain Ribbon in the top two corners and added a matching bow at the bottom.

Hi everyone! Have I told you lately that you are an angel, LOL!!! Is this angel just the cutest or what!?! I actually printed a ton of stars and hearts that come with this stamp set and only ended up using one of them. The image, sentiment and star used on today's card are all from the Patchpal Angel digital stamp set by Clear Dollar Stamps. I'm entering my card in this week's Art Impressions Stamps challenge to use red, green and metallic.

My card base is Cranberry Crisp layered with White Cardstock then Cranberry Sauce Patterned Paper. The shadow layer is two pieces (front and back) of Falling Snow Patterned Paper distressed with Cranberry Crisp ink. The image and sentiment are printed on White Cardstock and the image colored in using copic markers.

I distressed the edges of both using Cranberry Crisp ink then layered the image on Cranberry Crisp. To embellish the card I added a strip of grosgrain ribbon, a matching bow and lots of dew drops. Below the bow I placed a cut out star colored using copic markers and finished with stitches draw with a White Gel Pen.

Hi everyone! We were planning to drive ten hours round trip today to visit my husband's grandmother who has been having some medical problems lately but the weather forecast shows we are getting five plus inches of snow today into tomorrow so we ended up staying home. As for my card, the theme is inspired by all the snow falling outside here and the layout was inspired by this week's Deconstructed Sketch. I'm also entering this card in the Moving Along With The Times "Let It Snow" challenge and the Crafty Catz "Snowflakes" challenge.

My card base is Bravo Burgundy layered with Let It Snow patterned paper. The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. I paper pierced the edges then layered it on Bravo Burgundy. At the top of the card is Bravo Burgundy die cut on one side using the Large Scallop Border Die layered with a strip of Let It Snow patterned paper. I wrapped Soft Sky Double Stitched Ribbon around it and added a matching bow. To embellish the card I added Star Dust Stickles at the base of the snowman and silver rhinestones along the scallop border.

Hi everyone! I'm excited that Thanksgiving is only a week away! We are hoping my husband gets off work so we will be able to spend the day with his family otherwise I'll make us a small dinner at home. This is a Thanksgiving card I made to send the family. The image and sentiment are both from the Harvest Bounty digital stamp set by Doodle Pantry. I'm also entering this card in Sentimental Sundays Challenge using a sentiment and reflecting on a "Thanksgiving or Thank You" theme.

My card base is Really Rust layered with White Cardstock then Autumn Blaze Patterned Paper and Old Olive finished on one side using the Deckled Edge Scissors. The image and sentiment are both printed on White Cardstock and the image colored in using copic markers. I punched out the sentiment using the Large Oval Punch and layered it on Really Rust die cut using the Fancy Tags Nestabilities. To embellish the card I stitched around the card base and image, added two green buttons, threaded with Jute Twine and a bow made with grosgrain ribbon.

Hi everyone! Today I'm showcasing the Loves Ornament digital stamp set newly released by Clear Dollar Stamps. The stamp set includes both an outlined and colored image as well as several sentiments and digital papers. I used the outlined image on my card and couldn't resist embellishing with a pretty gardenia flower finished with stickles. I'm also entering this card in the Paper Sundaes Challenge using a "digital image".

My card base is Red Bazzill layered with White Cardstock then Nestled Patterned Paper stitched around the edge. At the bottom I finished it off with a strip of Red Bazzill punched on one side using the Scallop Dot Punch. I wrapped a strip of ribbon around the card base then added a pretty bow in front.

The image and sentiment were printed on White Cardstock and the image colored in using copic markers. Using the Corner Rounder Punch I rounded the corners of the image to resemble the ornament. To embellish the card I added a White Gardenia flower finished with some Star Dust Stickles. I also added a some pearls along the outer corners of the image.

Hi everyone! I thought to take a break from DT cards today and try my hand at a clean and simple card. I'd intended to rough up and distress the edges around the image with black ink but must have lost the thought somewhere in the excitement of the creative process, LOL!!! I'm entering this card in the "Times Gone By" Fashionable Stamping Challenge. The image reminds me of Christopher Columbus who sailed across the Atlantic Ocean and discovered the American Continents.

My card base is Riding Hood Red layered with True Black cardstock. To create the image I stamped the Sanded Background in Going Grey on Whisper White then the ship over it in Riding Hood Red. The strip at the bottom is Going Grey finished on one side using the Deckled Edge Scissors. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black and finished it off with three small black brads. To further embellish the card I punched two pieces of Going Grey using the Word Window Punch and attached them with a small black brad.

Quirky Donkey

OMG, does this card bring back memories. I had to stop blogging and go find the theme song to the TV Series "Hee Haw" just to hear the donkey at the beginning of it, LOL!!! After finishing this card I realized the shadow layer with the punched edge looks a lot like a fence! Had to pat myself on the back for that one, LOL!!! The image and sentiment are both from the Quirky Donkey digital stamp set by Doodle Pantry. I'm entering this card in the Paper Pretties Challenge to use "buttons".

As I'm blogging this my wonderful husband is telling me that the card reminds him of the Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue. Of course I've never heard of them and had to google it, turns out we are donors. Peaceful Valley provides a safe haven for more than one thousand domestic donkeys that have suffered abuse, neglect and abandonment. I think my wonderful husband deserves a HUGE pat on the back for that one!!!

My card base is Brown layered with White Cardstock then Olive Branch Patterned Paper. The shadow layer is Nestled Patterned Paper layered on Brown finished on both sides using the Arch Lattice Punch. I added a zig zag stitch around the card base and a straight stitch around the shadow layer.

The image and sentiment were printed on White Cardstock and the image colored in using copic markers. I distressed the edges using Vintage Photo Distress Ink and a sponge then paper pierced before layering on Brown Cardstock. To embellish the card I added a bow made from True Thyme Stitched Ribbon and two Brown Buttons threaded with DMC White.

Hi everyone! As I was coloring this image the brown copic marker I was using on the cup went dry, UGH! I tried smoothing it out with a lighter color but it still looks a little rough! The cup was the last thing I colored on the image and I didn't feel like starting all over again, how bad is that?!? The delicious image is from the Sweet & Spicy digital stamp set by Clear Dollar Stamps. I'm entering this card in the Incy Wincy Designs challenge to use "stitching".

My card base is Riding Hood Red layered with White Cardstock then Western Stripes patterned paper stitched around the edges. The shadow layer is Kraft Cardstock finished on both sides using the Deckled Edge Scissors. I wrapped two strips of Brown Satin Ribbon around the card base and taped the ends down on the back side.

Year Round Calendar BLOG HOP

Throughout the blog hop we are showcasing the Year Round Calendar digital stamp set by Clear Dollar Stamps. To highlight the month of September I created this flip calendar using a 4 x 6 bent acylic photo frame. My wonderful husband drilled holes in the top of the photo frame for me to add metal rings.

To ensure that the holes in my calendar pages align with the holes in the photo frame I took a 4 x 6 sheet of cardstock and punched holes in the top then slid the cardstock into the frame. Using a black marker I colored in the holes on the frame so that when I removed the cardstock it showed where to drill the holes. I then used the cardstock as a template for punching holes in my calendar pages.

For this calendar page I used Dark Brown cardstock. The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. For the top I used Dark Brown finished on one side using the Cornice Edge Punch. To embellish my calendar page I added some pretty green ribbon finished with DMC White.

To embellish the tag I added a bow made with Red Grosgrain Ribbon and finished it off with a clear gem.

Wishbone Ants

Hi everyone! Today I'm excited to preview the Wishbone Ants digital stamp set that is being given as our complimentary gift for playing along in the Doodle Pantry Challenge starting today. My card base is More Mustard layered with White Cardstock then four squares of Fall Stripe patterned paper each stitched around the edges. The shadow strips are Ripe Avocado finished on both sides using the Scallop Edge Punch. Next I wrapped a strip of More Mustard Grosgrain Ribbon around each strip of Ripe Avocado and made a matching bow for the front.

The image and sentiment are printed on White Cardstock and the image colored using copic markers. I paper pierced around the edges then layered the image on More Mustard. To embellish the card I added dew drops in each corner of the card base and a couple along the top of the image.

Hi everyone! This image makes me want to put on my PJ's and housecoat, grab a warm blanket and go sit by the fireplace and read a book! Of course, the whole time my fur baby Buddy would be cuddled up on my lap!!! As for the quilt on my card, the beautiful image is from the Sentimental Quilt digital stamp set by Clear Dollar Stamps.

My card base is Blue Bayou layered with White Cardstock then Cowgirl Stripes patterned paper. The shadow layer is Certainly Celery finished using the corner rounder punch. The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored using copic markers. The corners were punched out using the Corner Rounded Punch. To embellish the card I added tons of stitching, wrapped Soft Sky Double Stitched Ribbon around the card base with a matching bow in front and some Chocolate Pearls in each corner of the card base.

Square Envelope Tutorial

Hi everyone! I've been wanting to send the family a couple of Halloween cards I actually created last year and have hung on to until now because I didn't have any envelopes large enough in which to mail them. Well, after all this time I still haven't picked up any envelopes large enough to mail the cards so I decided to make my own and in the process took a few photos to share this tutorial.

The envelope created in this tutorial is 6 x 6 and nicely fits up to 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 cards. To get started, you will need the following materials: 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock, pencil, something to scor with, scissors, ruler (not in photo) and double sided tape.

First cut the 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock down to 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 and place the bottom side facing up on your table.

Using the pencil mark 4 1/4 inches in from each corner. You should have two marks on each side of your cardstock. The pencil was hard to see in some of my photos so I marked over it using a metallic silver pen to make the marks easier to see. This is also a close up of just one corner of the cardstock.

Using the pencil and ruler trace lines across the cardstock connecting the outer two marks. This will make it easier to scor.

When you are done tracing the lines your cardstock should look like this.

Now you are ready to scor the lines. I used the scor-pal to scor my cardstock but really anything that scors will work. If you have a fiskars paper cutter simply change out the blade for the black one that scors and you are ready to go. If you don't have a fiskars paper cutter or scor-pal simply use a straight edged ruler and a bone folder or embossing stylus.

Once you've scored all four lines you are ready for the next step.

So that the sides fold up nicely next take your scissors and cut out the triangle on each side of the cardsock where the lines intersect.

Bend the cardstock along the lines your scored.

Using the double sided tape cut a couple 3/4 inch strips, just enough so that the other flap of cardstock will cover them up.

Next peel the covering off the tape, line up the other flap and press down firmly.

Now add a strip of tape along each side of the bottom flap.

Peel off the covering, fold the flap up and press down firmly.

You did it! Your envelope is all ready to use to mail off one of your lovely card creations.

This is one of the Tilda cards I created last year and am sending to my husband's grandmother now that I have a beautiful matching envelope to use!

Hi everyone! This is the last of my Halloween cards and also one of my favorites! The spooktacular image and sentiment are from the Autumn Friends digital stamp set by Clear Dollar Stamps. I paired it with patterned paper from the Halloween Night Designer Series Paper Pack by Stampin' Up.

My card base is True Black layered with White Cardstock then Halloween Night patterned paper. I wrapped shimmery black ribbon around the card base and added a matching bow in front. The image and sentiment are printed on White Cardstock and the image colored in using copic markers. I distressed the edges of the patterned paper, sentiment and image using Memento Tuxedo Black and a sponge. To embellish the card I added a large black pearl in each corner of the card base.

Witch Tilda With Pumpkins

Hi everyone! I picked up this Witch Tilda With Pumpkins rubber stamp about this same time last year and even got around to stamping it on white cardstock then there it sat all year, LOL!!! Since it was all ready for me to color I couldn't resist trying out my new copic coloring skills! And I'm proud to say that my husband noticed and kindly commented on how great he thought the shading looked! I was surprised he liked the shading since when I first started using copic markers he didn't like the look, I'm hoping that means I've improved some since then, LOL!!!

My card base is True Black layered with White Cardstock then Luminous Patterned Paper. The shadow layer is Plum Pudding layered on True Black. The image and sentiment are printed on White Cardstock and the image colored in using copic markers. I distressed the edges of the card base, shadow layer, sentiment and the image using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and a sponge. Hi everyone! I've just a few more Autumn and Halloween cards to share before Halloween then am on to Thanksgiving and Christmas cards, WAHOO!!! The fun image used on today's card is the Pumpkin Birdie digital stamp by Doodle Pantry.

My card base is Always Artichoke layered with White Cardstock then Primrose Damask patterned paper stitched around the edges. The shadow layer is Kraft Cardstock finished on one side using the Cornice Edge Punch. I distressed the edges of both the patterned paper and Kraft Cardstock using Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. I rounded the top corners using the Corner Rounder Punch, distressed the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, stitched around the edge then layered the image on Always Artichoke. To embellish the card I added a button finished with a bow made from More Mustard Grosgrain Ribbon and added Sunflower Dew Drops along the edge of the Kraft Cardstock.

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for all the lovely comments on my Christmas Candy! I'm also tickled pink to have so many new followers, big hugs!!! On today's card I used this adorable image from the Patchpal Scarecrow digital stamp set by Clear Dollar Stamps. I think it goes perfectly with Halloween Verse 1 and just have to print the verse for the inside then get it in the mail!

My card base is True Black layered with White Cardstock then patterned paper from the Treasured Brights Paper Pad. The shadow layer is also patterned paper from the Treasured Brights Paper Pad and was layered on True Black. I stitched around the edges of both patterned paper and wrapped white lace around the shadow layer.

The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. I rounded the corners, stitched around the edge then layered it on True Black. To embellish the card I added a bow made from black grosgrain ribbon and some black pearls.

Today's card was inspired by this week's sketch and features the Three Fall Mice digital stamp by Pixie Cottage Stamps.

My card base is Pumpkin Pie layered with White Cardstock then Harvest Table patterned paper. The shadow layer is Basic Grey layered on Pumpkin. The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. I die cut and embossed the image using Standard Circles Small Nestabilities and layered it on Pumpkin Pie die cut using the Standard Circles Large Nestabilies. To embellish the card I added tons of stitching, a bow made from Basic Grey Taffeta Ribbon and two orange buttons threaded with DMC White.

Hi everyone! I'm really into square cards lately. I love the different shape, it mixes things up a bit and presents a new challenge for me to dream up new layouts! I have a stash of 5.5 x 5.5 envelopes on hand so I've been making 5 x 5 cards. This size card also fits perfectly in a 6 x 9 bubble envelope.

As for today's card, I was in the mood for a fall card so I printed the Quirky Owl digital stamp by Doodle Pantry. I paired it with an autumn sentiment from the Autumn Critters digital stamp set by Clear Dollar Stamps I had sitting on my craft table.

My card base is Dark Brown layered with White Cardstock then Fall Stripe and Fall Festival Mini Dots patterned paper stitched around the edges. I wrapped Dark Brown Grosgrain Ribbon around the card and tied the ends down on the back side. The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. Next I die cut and embossed the image using Standard Circles Large Nestabilities and layered it on Dark Brown die cut using the Classic Scalloped Circles Large Nestabilities.

The sentiment was printed on White Cardstock and punched out using the Word Window Punch. To embellish the card I added a red and green leaf and finished them off at the stems with a knot tied from Dark Brown Grosgrain Ribbon. I also added a Dark Brown button threaded with DMC White in each of the botton corners of the card base.

My card base is Bravo Burgundy layered with White Cardstock then My Boy Stripe and Mischievous patterned paper stitched around the edges. Next I wrapped two strips of white lace and True Thyme Stitched Ribbon around the card base. The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. I paper pierced around the image then layered it on Bravo Burgundy. To embellish the card I added a bow made from the True Thyme Stitched Ribbon and a pearl along the bottom edge of the lace.

Hi everyone! Is this cowboy birdie just the cutest thing or what!?! It was really fun and right up my alley creating a western card since stitching fits right in with this theme. The image and sentiment used on today's card are both from the Cowboy Birdie digital stamp set by Doodle Pantry.

I paired the image with Cowboy Stripes patterned paper from Sandylion. For the card base and to matte the image I used blue cardstock I found in my stash. The shadow layer is Cranberry Crisp. The image was printed on white cardstock and colored in using copic markers. To embellish the card I added zig zag stitching, Jute Twine, star brads, and layered stars punched from matching cardstock.

Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. For me this was one of those weekends where I got a lot of nothing done, LOL! I thought I'd start the week off on the right foot and share this cute Swiss Pixie card I created just for fun. The darling little girl is the Cupcake Birgitta rubber stamp by C.C. Designs.

My card base is Dark Brown layered with White Cardstock then Pink Passion embossed using the D'vine Swirls Embossing Folder. The shadow layer is Green Galore embossed using the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. I stitched around the edges of the both the Pink Passion and Green Galore.

The image and sentiment are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on White Cardstock and the image colored in using copic markers. I used Diamond Stickles to add some sparkle on her wings. The pretty matching bow was made from wired ribbon I found in my stash. To finish off the card I added silver rhinestones.

Hi everyone! Where did this week go?!? I'm happy the weekend is here and am really looking forward to not only stamping but also hope to get my first fleece blanket made for the local humane society! Hi everyone! I created this card for my friend's birthday! He's not a die hard fisherman but he enjoys taking his twin girls fishing so I'm hoping he likes it! The image and birthday sentiment are from the Reel 'Em In digital stamp by Doodle Pantry.

Hi everyone! Hope you had a fabulous weekend! We spent Saturday with my in-laws celebrating my nieces 19th birthday! Today I got caught up on laundry and design team projects. I was also able to get this card done for the Delightful Inspiration Progressive Challenge. The image is the Patches The Ghost digital stamp by Designed2Delight.

My card base is True Black layered with Halloween Night patterned paper. The strip of patterned paper at the bottom was finished using the Grass Edge Punch. Hi everyone! Happy World Card Making Day!!! This is my first winter card of the season and already has my addiction for snowflakes, snowmen and well... all things winter bubbling over, LOL! I've some fantastic news to share, the Doodle Pantry has some fabulous new release images out today. Both the image and sentiment used on today's card are from the Quirky Penguin digital stamp set by Doodle Pantry.

My card base is Dark Green Bazzill Cardstock layered with White Cardstock then Ice Storm patterned paper. The Light Blue Cardstock is also by Bazzill and was finished on one side using the Scallop Dot Punch. I stitched around the edge of the card base then wrapped white grosgrain ribbon around it and taped the ends down on the back side.

The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. I paper pierced around the edges and layered it on more of the Dark Green Bazzill Cardstock. To embellish the card I added a bow made with white grosgrain ribbon and a clear dew drop in each corner.

Hi everyone! I really enjoyed creating this card and hope you like it as much as I do. I've been playing along with the Delightful Inspiration Progressive Challenge and loving all the cute images. This week's image is this Autumn Mums digital stamp by Designed2Delight. I'm also entering this card in the Delightful Inspiration Die Cut Divas challenge.

My card base is Real Red layered with White Cardstock then Hazel Patterned Paper. The shadow strip is another of the Hazel Patterned Papers layered on Real Red. I added a straight stitch around the edges of both patterned papers. The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers.

I die cut and embossed the image using Standard Circles Small Nestabilities and layered it on Real Red die cut using the Classic Scalloped Circles Small Nestabilities. The butterfly was punched out of Aqua Mist Cardstock and embellished with Snow Pearls. To further embellish the card I added White Satin Ribbon with a matching bow and a Snow Pearl in each corner of the card base.

Hi everyone! I'm not a chef by any means but I do LOVE baking and more to the point eating yummy baked goods, LOL!!! So when I saw the image featured on today's card I couldn't resist whipping up a card to share my passion for all things sweet! In creating the card I used the COLORED image and sentiment from the Baking Bear digital stamp by Clear Dollar Stamps.

The card base is More Mustard layered with White Cardstock then digital paper and Brocade Blue stitched around the edges. I also wrapped a strip of yellow grosgrain ribbon around the card base and taped the ends down on the back side. The image was printed on White Cardstock then layered on More Mustard. Operation Write Home sends blank handmade greeting cards to our nation's heroes for them to write home on as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them. They are celebrating their birthday all month long with daily challenges listed on OWH Stars & Stamps. Hi everyone! We've had a dip in the temperature here lately so I was tickled pink that I got to hang out in my PJ's and housecoat this weekend while playing in my craft room. Hi everyone! Welcome to this week's progressive challenge with Delightful Inspiration. The cute floral image used on today's card is the Happiness Blooms digital stamp by Designed2Delight.

My card base is Blue Bayou layered with White Cardstock then patterned paper stitched around the edges. The shadow layer is Pale Plum finished using the corner rounder punch. The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. I rounded the corners and paper pierced around the edges then layered it on Blue Bayou. To embellish the card I added organdy ribbon and snow pearls.

Hi everyone! This is a card I created for the ladies at work. I've been sharing some of my cards with them this summer and they have hinted that they could all use some wedding cards. I can't wait to see their reaction when I bring them in. The image is the Bless And Keep You rubber stamp by Stampendous.

My card base is Sweet Blush layered with Glossy Silver cardstock and patterned paper stitched around the edges. The shadow layer is another piece of Sweet Blush. The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in using copic markers. It is hard to tell in the photos but I added White Shimmerz on the veil and wedding dress. To embellish the card I added clear dew drop in each corner of the card base.

Hi everyone! Today I've got a beautiful floral card to share with you. I haven't done as many floral cards lately and have to say I really miss them because their beauty brightens my day. The floral image used on today's card is the Calendula October Flower of the Month digital stamp by Clear Dollar Stamps.

My card base is Summer Sun layered with White then Kraft cardstock embossed using the Happy Birthday embossing folder. The shadow strips are Green Galore. I added tons of stitching and white satin ribbon with a matching bow. The image was printed on White and colored in using copic markers. To further embellish the card I added silver rhinestones in each corner.

We have a fun new sketch and this week's theme is "Fussy and Fancy". My card highlights the Ballerina Fairy Taking A Ride rubber stamp by Pixie Cottage Stamps.

My card base is True Black layered with White Cardstock then Love You patterned paper stitched around the edges. The shadow layer is Adorable patterned paper layered on True Black. Hi everyone! I'm back playing along with the progressive challenge at Delightful Inspiration again today. This week's image is the Autumn Harvest digital stamp by Designed2Delight. I love the beauty of fall colors and new I wanted to create a project using this image as soon as I saw it!

My card base is More Mustard layered with white cardstock then patterned paper stitched around the edges. My husband says my cards are all square of late so I rounded all the corners on this one. The shadow layer is Kiwi Kiss finished on both sides using the Deckled Edge Scissors. I wrapped DMC white around the card base and taped the ends down on the back side.

The image was printed on white cardstock and colored in using copic markers. Instead of paper piercing I stitched around the edges then layered the image on More Mustard. The leaves I picked up in the bargain bin at the local stamp store last weekend while shopping. I added a yellow button threaded with DMC White at the base of the leaves. To further embellish the card I added a Sunflower Dew Drop in each corner.

Quirky Kangaroo

Hi my crafty friends! Hope you are having a fabulous weekend! I've been running around shopping for the local humane society. This time of year they are overflowing with cats and dogs in need of homes and as much as we really want to adopt or foster it is just too much stress on our Buddy so we do our best donating supplies whenever possible.

I was really excited to see that one of the items on their wish list this month is a paper cutter because I've had a gullotine paper cutter on my craft room floor that I haven't touched since getting a rotary one so I'm happy to say that my gullotine paper cutter found a very good home today.

As for today's card, it features the digitally colored kangaroo image and patterned paper from the Quirky Kangaroo stamp set by Doodle Pantry. I paired it with Lavendar Lace and More Mustard cardstock from Stampin' Up. I embellished the card with white lace, grosgrain ribbon, punched flowers and lavendar rhinestones.

Hi everyone! Today I've got a clean and simple card to share with you. I just love the bright colors and the sentiment is perfect for me seeing as how I'm feeling really sluggish after a busy week at work. The COLORED image, patterned paper and sentiment are all from the Norman Snail digital stamp set by Clear Dollar Stamps.

The card base is Chocolate Chip layered with digital paper stitched around the edges. The shadow layer is Tempting Turquoise layered on Chocolate Chip and DMC White wrapped around it three times. To embellish the card I added a chocolate pearl in each corner of the card base.

Hi everyone! I'm thrilled to be a guest designer this month for Crafts and Me. It is such and honor to be playing along with such a talented group of ladies. Today's card was challenging for me to color and also a lot of fun to create. I actually watercolored blue ink around the image but now that it is dry you can't even tell, LOL! The beautiful image highlighted on today's card is Felicia by Crafts and Me. The card was created for this week's Crafts and Me Challenge to use buttons and bows.

My card base is True Black layered with White Cardstock then digital patterned paper stitched around the edge. The shadow strips are Kraft Cardstock. The image was printed on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. To bring out the strand of pearls Felicia is holding I wrapped a string of pearls around the image. To further embellish the card I added bow made from Groovy Guave Double Stitched Ribbon and finished it off with a button threaded with DMC White.

Hi everyone! I hope all my crafty friends in the US are enjoying the long holiday weekend! I thought I'd get out and do a little shopping today but before I head out want to share this fun card I created for the new challenge kicking off today at the Doodle Pantry Challenge Blog.

Hi everyone! It is a holiday weekend here in the US which means I get tomorrow off work, YIPPEE!!! It is Labor Day tomorrow, a day of celebration in honor of working people! So that means I get a whole extra day of stamping and shopping! Today I'm playing along with the stamp of the month challenge at Delightful Inspiration. The image used on today's card is the Falloween Cat digital stamp by Designed2Delight.

I'm also super excited and tickled pink to share my new personalized photo watermark. I got it yesterday and couldn't wait to create a new card to show it off, LOL!!! I got my watermark at the Doodle Pantry and really recommend Laurie if you are looking to build your own watermark. She is so friendly and easy to work with.

My card base is Pumpkin Pie layered with white cardstock then Going Grey embossed using the Stars Embossing Folder. The shadow layer is Lemon Tart. My card was inspired by this week's sketch. I shrunk it to fit an A2 size card. The beautiful image is the April With Hearts rubber stamp by Pixie Cottage Stamps.

My card base is Cranberry Crisp layered with Basic Black then strips of Ever After patterned paper stitched around the edges. The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on White Cardstock and colored in using copic markers. I die cut and embossed the image using Labels Eighteen Nestabilities and distressed the edges with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. To ground the image I punched out a piece of Cranberry Crisp using the Word Window Punch. To embellish the card I added tons of black pearls.

Gigi Giraffe

Wow, does this image bring back some really fun memories! Several years ago my husband and I visited the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park. While there we went on the caravan tour and got to feed a couple giraffe!!! The giraffe on my card is the Gigi Giraffe digital stamp by Clear Dollar Stamps.

I paired it with More Mustard cardstock embossed using the Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles Embossing Folder and digital paper from the Gigi Giraffe stamp set. To embellish the card I wrapped Jute Twine around the card base and added two dark brown buttons threaded with Jute Twine.
